But if you look closely, everything turns out to be more complicated. We constantly drift into the past, we constantly rush into the future, and only occasionally, accidentally, find ourselves here. So where do we really live? In one of the three time zones or simultaneously in all of them? And what does it mean to \"live\" in this context?The Present That Does Not ExistStrictly speaking, the present moment does not exist. Neurobiologists say that our perception is delayed by about 80 milliseconds — we are always a bit in the past. Physicists add: time is the fourth dimension, and \"now\" is just a point on a line. We cannot grasp the present because it has already become the past by the time we become aware of it. And yet we feel it as something real. This is a paradox of human consciousness: we live in an illusion of the present, which is created by our memory and expectation.But if the present does not exist, what does exist? Only transition. A moment that disappears as soon as it appears. We can be in it only when we do not try to hold it. That is why meditation, sports, creativity, love are states where time disappears.
